San Jose Sharks vs. St. Louis Blues

TV: NBCSN
Latest Odds : STL -140 O/U 5.5

On Friday, the San Jose Sharks visit the St. Louis Blues for Game 4 of their NHL Western Conference Finals best of seven series. The Sharks lead the series 2-1 after defeating the Blues on Wednesday 5-4 in an overtime thriller. Erik Karlsson scored the Sharks winning goal 5:23 into the extra period after a hand pass from Timo Meier was missed by officials.

The Blues were upset over the no-call on Meier’s hand pass as it could clearly be seen he raised his right hand to knock a puck toward the front of the Blues’ net that was then passed by Gustav Nyquist to Karlsson who then beat Jordan Binnington. St. Louis scored four goals in the second period to take a 4-3 lead into the third, but gave up a Sharks’ tying goal with just 1:01 remaining in regulation.

The home team (Blues) has won 6 of the last 8 meetings between the two. St. Louis will come out on fire following a controversial no-call that allowed the Sharks to score the winning goal in Game 3. The Blues need to win on Friday in order not to return to San Jose for Game 5 trailing in the series 3-1. Look for the Blues to forecheck more and play much better defense with a low scoring result. Final Score Prediction, St. Louis Blues win 2-1
