The Oregon Ducks play the Auburn Tigers on Saturday August 31 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas in the college football season opener for both.

Oregon will have Justin Herbert, who is a legitimate contender for the Heisman Trophy, back at quarterback in 2019. Last season’s 1,000-yard rusher CJ Verdell returns for the Ducks as does Travis Dye. The Ducks will have Jaylon Redd and a trio of new receivers. On defense, Troy Dey is the anchor at linebacker. The Ducks are expected to improve on the defense with freshmen and transfers making an immediate impact.

On offense, the Tigers will have several new faces as Bo Nix or Joey Gatewood will start under center in place of Jarrett Stidham. The top three players in the offensive backfield from last season are back, but face an improved Oregon defense. Auburn will start the season with one of the best defensive units in the nation. The defensive line is called by many football pundits as the best in the country. With Big Kat Bryant, Marlon Davidson, Nick Coe and Derrick Brown ready to give opposing offenses fits beginning with Oregon.

Oregon will be putting its potent running and passing game led by Justin Herbert up against one of the nation’s best defenses. The key to this game will be the ability of the Oregon receivers to get free at the line of scrimmage from the physical defensive backs for Auburn. Expect that to happen and for Oregon signal caller Herbert take advantage of the Tigers secondary. Take the points and the Ducks. Final Score Prediction, Oregon Ducks win and cover ATS 30-27
