This has been maybe the most underachieving Stanford Cardinals team in recent memory going just 2-8 ATS wise in their last 10 games. Stanford Notre Dame is usually a key matchup every year and one that both fan bases look forward to but this year it has lost some luster. Stanford comes in off 3 straight losses.
Last lost being to an improved Cal team 24-20 but the start of the season is when it went off the tracks for Standford losing to USC in a blowout then going to UCF and getting their doors blown off. They did have one nice win over Washington this season but other then that a super uneventful year should culminate at Stanford Stadium on Saturday.

This will be the first time in 11 years that they will finish without a bowl game a testament to how good this program has been over the years. Cardinal Coach David Shaw has been working his guys hard all week in preparation for this Irish team that is bound and determined to show the bowl people just how good they are and personally I would like to see them matched up with Penn State.
Last years Irish team beat up this Stanford team 38-17. Notre Dame came into this season with a ton of hope for a playoff birth that rested on beating Georgia on the road and they had that game close losing ultimately 23-17 and dashing their season they also dropped a tough one at Michigan a game where they were destroyed by a determined Wolverines crew.
