Josh Adkins is coming back into this season for the Aggies with a year under his belt. That will help the Aggies out, but also the offense is returning almost the complete skill positions and the line is only getting 2 new starters. That should definitely help the Aggies out who fell flat last year offensively.
The defense for the Aggies is coming back with a fairly intact group as well. Granted, the Aggies defense did give up a ton of yardage last year compared to the year before. However, the defense looks to have more experience and that could help them out at times this year, but also the size o the line is big on one side, but very light at 245 pounds on the other, which makes it easier to push around.

Washington State definitely would like to have a decent showing from Gage Gubrud this year. The senior quarterback has been fairly explosive when he has not been hurt and that could help guide the Cougars to a ton of wins. However, Gubrud definitely has a good chance here as the line returns completely intact with the exception of the left guard, Robert Valencia, who is a senior, but making his first season starting.
Defensively the Cougars should have a good chance o proving themselves for a couple of years, barring any early exits. The Cougars defense that was ranked in the top 45 last season returns almost an entire group. What is even better is the team only has 3 seniors starting this season and that could definitely make a difference for the team in this game here.
