Georgia Bulldogs vs. Vanderbilt Commodores

NCAAF: 7:30 PM EST

Aug. 15, 2019

TV: SECN
Latest Odds : UGA -21 Total 57.5

The Bulldogs are going to look different this year offensively. Now, it does not come from the fact that the team is only returning 4 starters from the team. Instead, it comes from the fact that James Coley is looking to build a new system that will revolve around junior quarterback Jake Fromm. The downside is the Bulldogs have to get a new group of receivers to help provide the support.

Defensively the Bulldogs are going to look different as well. Not in the formation, but it will come mainly from the fact that the Bulldogs are bringing back only 4 starters. The good news is the secondary comes back almost completely intact, but the pressure at the front may not be as heavy as what it had been last year.

The Commodores may have a chance to give the Bulldogs defense a run for their money in this game. The Commodores have managed to have a decent showing with quite a bit of talent coming back at the skill positions. However, the Commodores will rely on a fairly new line to clear the holes for Ke’Shawn Vaughn who has a chance to be an All-American this year.

Defensively the Commodores have to improve or they could really be in trouble this year. The Commodores defense last season gave up over 6 yards a game and now, have 6 new players on the defensive side of the ball. The downside is the Commodores have some problems as the Bulldogs offense is going to throw a new look with a defense that was horrible last year.

The Commodores may be playing at home, but the team does not have much of a chance. The retooled offense of the Bulldogs will have new looks the team has not seen before and it will definitely have some impact on the Commodores defense, which is not that good to begin with. Final Score, Georgia Bulldogs win and cover ATS 35-14.
