Atlanta Hawks vs. Phoenix Suns

NBA: 7:30 PM EST

Jan. 14, 2020

TV: FSSE
Latest Odds : Suns -3.5

Two teams that are at two different stages of the rebuild process as I believe the Hawks are still one year away from fielding a competitive team but they still do not lack in young talent and features one of the best talents in the game in one Trae Young the former #5 overall draft pick on 2018 out of Oklahoma has been tearing up the NBA averaging 28.9 points per game with 8.4 assists and 4.5 rebounds a true stud.

Hawks though are in a bad way losers of 8 of their last 10 games and 4 straight games and are just back from a two game road stint that saw them lose by double digits to the crappy Washington Wizards and get smokes by the very weak Brooklyn Nets so a tall order Tuesday night in Atlanta Georgia at the State Farm Arena.

Hawks come in just 4-14 SU at home this year the worst home record in the NBA and here comes the team I think will have the biggest plus minus turnaround over last years record the Phoenix Suns are 7-9 on the road and have won straight games but they have a real shot to have a winning 3 game trip as they take on the Hawks and Knicks as part of the trip and no back to backs.

The Phoenix Suns are lead by one of the NBA all world players Devin Booker he is averaging 25.8 points per game with 6.5 assists and unlike Trae Young has some real studs to help shoulder the scoring load. Their is Kelley Oubre Jr. who just in the last game had 25 points 16 rebounds and has averaged 18.5 points a game this season.

Suns also are trying to get Deandre Ayton into mid season form so far this year he has started off slow due to the suspension but has broken out lately. In his last game Ayton had 18 points and 9 rebounds look for him to have a big impact on this Hawks game as Atlanta does not have much to stop him inside the paint. Phoenix will come in and blow out the Hawks on Tuesday leading us to an easy cover. Suns win this one going away 122-105.
