Sixers suffered a setback at Toronto in a big road test losing to the Raptors 107-95. Embiid hopes to return next week from injury but that does little to help the Sixers in prime time Saturday night.
One saving grace for the Sixers is this game takes place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia Pennsylvania where the Sixers are one of the best home teams in the league coming in at 20-2 this season SU. Lakers will be getting a ton of betting action here so we will get a nice value number with the Sixers who have one of the brightest young stars in the NBA in one Ben Simmons.

Ben Simmons is averaging 16 points per game 8.5 assists and 7.8 rebounds as he truly is the Magic Johnson of this era but not quite the shooter that Magic was. Sixers won the last time these two teams met up taking that game 143-120 in a big shootout but this Lakers team is much better on defense then they were last season. Lakers come into this game on Saturday with a 20-4 road record the best road record in the NBA.
In addition to missing Embiid the Sixers will also be with out Josh Richardson with a hamstring strain. Look for Sixers other star Tobias Harris to step up his game with the absence on Embiid. Tobias is off a 22 point game and I see him matching that output again on Saturday night. Lebron only needs 17 points to catch laker great Kobe Bryant on the all time scoring list.
