Jazz at Spurs 10/4/21 – NBA Betting Odds & Picks
Utah Jazz vs. San Antonio Spurs
NBA: 8:30 PM EST
Oct. 04, 2021
Utah was knocked out of the playoffs last year after blowing a series lead and even a lead in the game. Now, the Jazz are hoping that they have enough of a talent group to bounce back and push into the playoffs again this year and possibly make it deeper into the playoffs than the semifinals.
Mike Conley is coming back to run the point for the Jazz. Conley is the one player that if he was injured for the team would be a devastating injury. Conley is running the offense and is one that is able to properly feed the ball into Gobert and company to do most of the scoring.
For the Spurs the team is going to have Gregg Popovich back to guide the team again. Popovich has been one coach that if he changed teams or left the Spurs would always be referred to as one of the best coaches in Spurs history.
DeMar DeRozan is the player who has to step up in the power forward position. However, after DeRozan the Spurs are lacking in quality and definitely need to have some help. The one good point is Popovich has been through this situation like that before and managed to do good with only Duncan or Robinson on the roster to help guide the Spurs.
Free Betting Pick: Utah Jazz
The Spurs are lacking in the talent department in this game here. Granted, DeRozan is a good player, but he does not have the supporting components that are needed to make sure he plays great basketball without having to carry the team. Look for Utah to key in on DeRozan and keep the Spurs from being overly productive. Final Score, Utah Jazz win 112-100.
