I'd say the Lakers are a year off.
Houston Rockets head into this year at 10-1 Favorites to win it all and are the second best team in the NBA they added Carmelo Anthony and they still have a rock solid team that includes Chris Paul and NBA perennial MVP candidate James Harden.

Now the team I pick to win the NBA title is the Boston Celtics they have the best mix of veteran and young talent of any team in the league. Remember last year their prized free agent acquisition Gordon Hayward who makes over 30 million a year went down in first few games. Even with losing multiple players this team made it deep in the playoffs. With the Eastern Conference being so weak I could see them finishing with the best record in the NBA giving them home court advantage and there payout to win it all is 6.5-1 odds. I will be betting on the Boston Celtics to win the NBA title for 9 units.
